Start something epic

Why stop at one partner in crime when there are countless adventures waiting to be had? We wanted to capture that ‘world-is-your-oyster-anything-is-possible’ feeling for Tinder. Here’s how we swiped, matched and boogied.

The Business Problem

When online dating moved to apps, Tinder quickly made its name as a fun and fresh alternative to matchmakers promising long-term relationships. But this also meant that Tinder became a byword for dead-eyed thumb-jerking focused on superficial attributes over genuine human connection. Also in a country like India, dating is still a taboo and the options for women limited.

The Zag

Less ‘meaningless hookups’, more ‘endless possibilities'.

The Solution

We angled Tinder as the portal that gave women the access and the power to choose and control who they wanted to explore endless possibilities with.

Our Bollywood-inspired film ‘Start Something Epic’ was directed by Bharat Sikka. Indie musician and actor Kavya Trehan starred as our Tinder girl, who’s in-real-life dancing through the streets was a metaphor for the adventures and the freedom one has on the platform.

Our dancing girl is an unabashed embodiment of the thrill of meeting new people and the nervous energy of exploring the unknown. She says: “Let’s Dance” – and you should.
