Fresh minds are the lifeblood of any creative industry. And we want to get more into ours.

Barn is an ad school in an agency. An 8 month course created by legendary ad tutor, Tony Cullingham, now being continued by former BBH creative chief of ten years, Nick Gill.

You’ll be taught how great ideas happen and how you execute them. You’ll learn from great creative people. You’ll visit other agencies and learn from more great creative people. And there’s a potential job at BBH for the best creatives at the end.

This year we’re expanding the course from ten to twelve students.

We want applications from everywhere. So we’ve knocked down barriers for entry. There are no course fees. We pay you. £28,850 per annum while you’re here.

To apply, answer these briefs:

  1. Let’s decide that the only reason ostriches can’t fly is self-belief. How would you teach one how to?

  2. Troll spinach.

  3. Sell a lawn-mower to someone who doesn’t have a lawn.

  4. You open your bag of crisps and are moved to write an angry email of complaint. What the hell did you find in there?

  5. Write and perform a love song to a haddock.

Tips:

  • Keep your ideas simple.

  • Use any medium from posters to Tik Tok

  • The finish of your ideas isn’t important. Your ideas are.

  • Resist the urge to explain your ideas or tell me why you’ve done them.

  • Feel free to vary the tone. Silly and serious are both legitimate.

  • Try to base your ideas on relevant insights and truths.

  • Try to stand out.

Important information.

  • Submit your ideas asap to barn@bartleboglehegarty.com

  • Applications close at midnight Friday 16th May.

  • Interviews will take place at BBH from 2nd of June to the 13th June 2025
