Technology company Vivo was launching a new phone with some serious selfie skills. But since tech-heavy smartphone releases had become the norm, we wanted to take a different approach.

This is the story of how we chose to tell stories with a little charm and became the most watched ad on YouTube.

The Business Problem

Technology company Vivo was launching a new phone, the V19, with some serious selfie skills: a 105 degree wide angle and super night feature. But since tech-heavy smartphone releases had become the norm, we wanted to take a different approach.

The Zag

Storytelling instead of cold comms about tech spec.

The Solution

We created four films starring legendary actor Aamir Khan and his cute-as-pie nephew, Cheeku.

In each film, this comedic duo encounters a stumbling block to taking the perfect selfie. And the Vivo V19 comes to their rescue every time.

Because getting those perfect selfies is serious business.

The Results

Monster Party was the most watched ad on YouTube in June 2019.
